This notice confirms that the above was formally dissolved today by Companies House.
Some 40 months after our school closed and some 112 months since the Department of Education formed the Trust we have succeeded in having it dissolved. The final chapter on the Robert Owen Academy is now closed .
My grateful thanks goes to all of the Trustees, governors, staff, parents, ex-students and members of the community who supported the school during its inception, while it was making a different to so many young lives and during the prolonged aftermath of closure. We hold our heads up high knowing that we succeeded in improving the life opportunities of our students.
Topically, we ran the Robert Owen Academy in line with the Nolan Principles of public life which currently have higher profile than they have had for many years.
May I take this opportunity to wish each of you a happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year. Please keep safe and healthy in these challenging times. It’s been a long and bumpy road but it was worth it for those young people we supported.
