One launch, two fantastic events

In these events, we will explore the most interesting report findings and discuss the social enterprise movement globally with fantastic panels of social entrepreneurs and leading ecosystem players who are supporting the sector’s growth around the world.

About MORE IN COMMON
The culmination of over five years of work, MORE IN COMMON draws on data, insights and case studies in 27 countries to provide what is believed to be the first estimate of the total size of social enterprise around the world.
Moreover, it offers comparisons between social enterprises operating in diverse settings and highlights commonalities and differences, patterns and challenges.
Crucially, this report will equip policy makers, social impact investors and other inclusive economy actors with information and evidence to more effectively support and measure the growth of social enterprise and the impact economy.
This research was commissioned through the British Council’s work on inclusive economies, through which we seek to help foster the emergence of a more inclusive and impact-led global economy that works in favour of the Sustainable Development Goals and supports building back better from the Covid-19 pandemic.
It was produced by the British Council and is based on methodology developed by and research conducted with Social Enterprise UK (SEUK) and working with local research partners in every country.
The 27 national ‘State of Social Enterprise’ surveys on which this global comparative study is based focus on these countries: Algeria, Bangladesh, Brazil, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Jamaica, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Thailand, The Philippines, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and Viet Nam.
Together, these countries account for more that 40% of the world’s population.
